Family trip gone bad?

I don't think there is anything wrong with what you said. You and your boyfriend should go alone in a seperate car. 14 hours in a truck with five people?!?! No way!! Besides, it's your "mom's vacation". No need to get in her way. And like you said, you will be with her and the rest of the family on the cruise anyway. I think you are right. :)
