Why do you shut me out?

I know others have asked similar questions but, why do so many people mock my religion? i am a Christian and I don’t cram my faith down anyone's thought, but part of our religion is spreading the word of god. What’s so wrong with that? And yes we do things like vote down gay marriage but how is that any different from a PETA doing protests and voting down meat? Some days I feel like all other religions are respected more than Christianity even though it’s the most loving, accepting and the most common religion? I am not arguing the point of Christianity I’m just trying to be the most loving person I can be, tell me why people shoot me down for that? I respect your religion… do the same for me.
