Can I get a second opinion on a situation?

Me and my girlfriend live together and are are starting in our last year of college (full time classes) this fall, but in addition to school we both work 40 hours full time in our careers so life gets rather busy often. This fall will be even more busy as it will be our last year so a lot of cramming and an extra class. We are considering hiring my mom as kinda a housekeeper since we will be so busy. I know she could use the extra income and we are going to pay her well above average and its not a lot of work involved. But we both feel guilty about asking a parent at our age for help, especially cleaning our place, but also know she could use the money. Any advice or input would be appreciated.
